Today I am very happy to share my project using this special and close to my heart collections.
The story behind is...Peacock is my most favorite bird. And a national bird of India which is my home country.
As grew up in the river side farm I had the privilege of enjoying the beauty of the peacock from very close. In my school age me and my cousin sisters used to go by river and try to gather as many feathers as we can and try to make some kind of craft using them. Specially rainy evening when we see 15-20 peacocks dancing with their stunning fan of lush green, purple and blue feathers makes us to dance with them. Peacock is a shy bird like other birds. This beautiful birds has ugly legs though. I love to see them fly from ground to the tree branches and their "Meow" sound is the sweetest ever. I was always wondering how they take care of their heavy feathers while flying, so my dad told me, that is why they don't fly very high up, they always prefer to stay on huge bulky trees which has strong long branches. First time I seen White Peacock here in NC when we visited near by farm for strawberry picking and they had couple of White ones and I was so crazy taking pictures of them :-)
After so many year, last time I visited my farm and I got so many peacock feather as a gift from Old farmers who remembered, how I was crazy picking them in my childhood.
Most beloved Lord Krishna always has one peacock feather in his crown, as a village boy he grew up in the nature. We believe if we keep peacock feathers in our living room which is visible from the front door keeps your family away from bad/evil things.
I am totally went into my childhood memories with this beautiful collection and tons of thanks for that.

Description :
This is one of the projects which I had so much fun to make. I am so in love with this beautiful bird.
I am so glad that, Heartfelt Creations came up with this theme. Since this bird is a National Bird of India which always reminds me my nationality. I have created this layout using couple of 12X12 papers from the collection as a base.
The gate die is perfect for this theme so I stamped one of the stamp called feathered Peacock and a feather stamp to create this big natural looking peacock. Just stamped peacock image and colored with copic markers and also stamped few feathers in a the shape showed in picture and colored them as well. Then I fussy cut the peacock body and and stick on the bunch of fussy cut feathers and created whole peacock and stick on the gate. I have used some pop dots to raise the gate and a peacock little bit. Also used Martha Stewart glitter in blue color and stick on the feathers.
Using this beautiful die and stamp and also stunning leaf die which I am in love. I have created plenty of flowers and sponge dob with stampin up ink and added little copper glitter in a center. I created this flower cluster on one side and a little part on the left bottom side and used some flat back pearls all around the flowers.
And finished with such a perfect sentiment from the collection.
Hope you you will love it as much as I do personally.
See you all next week!
