"Happy" Mixed Media Layout - Craft&You Design

Hello Creative World,

Here again this week sharing this 12x12 mixed layout. I really hope you will love this. I am totally in love with this paper from the collection called "Easter Greetings". Look how shabby and beautiful vintage rose printed paper is this.

This is double sided paper and other side is as beautiful as this one in Olive green color and has some script printed here and there. So I took basic light pinkish purple paper as my base and then I took this Easter Greetings paper and ripped in three pieces in different sizes only from top to bottom as I needed 12 x12 long pieces. Then I simply stick them on the basic paper keeping some distance. I used Heidi Swapp's Honeycomb stencil and some modeling paste to give some mixed media effect. I also used Lindy's Stamp Gang spray in color,  Amaryllis Burgundy. Also used some Prima flowers and other paper flowers from my stash. Decorative picture frame is Dusty Attic and other small frames and word, "Happy" is from Prima.

Hope this one will encourage to get some of these beautiful papers :-)
Thanks for stopping by!!

My Wedding - Craft and You DT Project

" Hello Friends,
Today I am sharing something cute :-)
Who doesn't like makeup.... ;-) and if you present it in the cute packaging then it will be more interesting. So here I created this box for my foundation but you can use it for Tim Holtz inks or small spray mists or anything crafty which fit in there. Otherwise candies are always the best option....LOL
For this box I have used "My Wedding" 6x6 paper pad, which is one of my favorite collections. Very shabby chic!

Craft and You Design

Lets make the box...

You will need

7" X 7.5" cardstock in Brown color or any of your choice of color.
Scoring Board
Pair of Scissor
You need to make something like this in the below pic...;-)

Take 8" X 7" Cardstock to make this box as per your choice of color.
On long side you will need to score @ 1.5" , 6" and 6.5"
Turn the page and score at every 1.5" mark. The end will remain in 1/2" which will need to assemble this box. Cut all the score marks at 1.5" mark as per shown in the picture.
You will need to cut both end of one of the long side of the paper. Then just cut renaming both ends in half.
Then just make a slit on every scored line till 1.5" mark. Use the glue or scoring tape on this long part which is 1/2" strip and stick the other side carefully. Here your box is almost done.
Use glue or score tape on the bottom square and stick the box.

...hope you got the instructions..;-)

Thanks and have fun!"
