Envelope for Dimensional Cards

Dear all,

I make lots of cards using 3D flowers on it and there is always a question, how to handover it to the person. Most of the people use plastic bags. But here is a wonderful way to present this card in matching boxed envelope.

I hope this tutorial will be helpful to you. I am giving all the measurements and instructions for standard A2 size card which measures 5.5" X 4.25". If you like this tutorial and you want me to give in certain sizes feel free to ask.

Material :
12X12 paper, Glue, Cutter, Score board, corner punch (optional), pair of scissor.

Instructions :
First cut the paper in size of 9"X 9" using your paper cutter.

Then get the score board and use the extension comes with it for making envelops ( Martha Stewart cutter has this additional triangular shape measuring thing)

Get your paper on the score board and score on 3 5/8" and 4 1/8 "

Turn the paper at 90 degrees and score at 2 3/4" and 3 1/4"

Turn again and score at 3 5/8" and 4 1/8 " and then last turn and score at 2 3/4" and 3 1/4"  So your two opposite sides are large and two sides are small.

Your score lines will look like this when you done your scoring job.

Now if you want you can trim all 4 corners or just top and bottom corner in round or any of your choice shape.

Now please look at the pencil marked triangles. We need to cut two of the small triangles from both side of the bottom and whole both large triangles on top....hope you got it ;-)

Then your envelope shape will look like this.

Now just cut those bottom squares like this. Do not cut all the way. But if you cut it all the way do not worry still your box is safe. But just for extra sturdiness we just need to keep them.

Now fold all the score lines and it is now getting in shape :-)

Assemble your box using strong glue or sticky tape inside the bottom fold on both edges and also on those two square notches.

Here you go...isn't this easy, neat and pretty :-)

My beautiful card using handmade 3d flowers and Matching Envelope

Lovely....

Perfectly fit and ready to present...

You can even decorate the envelope from out side using flowers, sentiments, ribbons....options are limitless.

Now no more worries of presenting your wonderfully decorated dimensional cards.
Have fun !!

Love,
Archana

White cardstock, Gold Embossing Powder, Red seed beads, Hot Glue gun, Candle, golden berries, Laces

Project Instruction:
Since festival season is coming up. I thought of making sleeve for my Christmas theme candle decoration. This is white candle almost 8 to 10" tall.
It is 12X6" piece from one of the 12X12" paper which has candle image. I simply wrapped around the candle and glue both ends. Then used lace on top and bottom border.
These beautiful flowers made using Poinsettia stamp with versa mark ink and gold embossing powder on white cardstock. I embossed all my flower images first and then using matching die I got these cutouts. Then using flower shaping tool I gave a 3D look and used some red seed beads as a center. All these flowers glued around the candle image using hot glue gun. For some festive touch I have used some golden berries here and there.
This sleeve is removable so you can reuse this. Hope you like this project.
Thanks!

Hexagon Shape Candy Holder Tutorial

Dear All,
Some of the friends are having a trouble of making these candy holders as some of the measurements were not right on my last post, which now I corrected. I am extremely sorry for that.

Here is the tutorial and hope it will be helpful !

Card Stock measurement - 7.5" X 6.5"

On 6 1/2 " Side score at 1/2" then every 1" increment till the end.

Turn the paper on 90 degrees so you will get 7 1/2" side, score at 1" , 1 1/2" and 2" from both ends.

Mountain fold both scored sides of 7 1/2" side.

Fold all 1" marks on 6 1/2 "side so you will get a roll.

Like so...

Use a strong glue on 1/2" fold and stick to the other end from inside.

Now easiest way to cut the diamonds on both ends, first mark on 1/2" in between all 1" score marks.

And with keeping tiny distance cut into diamond shape. Do not cut till the mark otherwise it will brake a part.

It will look like this when done.

To make this box sturdy and hold in a shape we will need two of 1 3/4" circles and we need to insert them in both ends and stick.

Just like this..

Now your box is ready. You can decorate how you prefer and insert your goodies inside and close both ends using beautiful decorative ribbons.

Thank you!!

Love,
Archana
